A Christmas mouse
Came to our house,
Looking for crumbs
That clumsy thumbs
Had dropped on the floor.
Under the door
He quietly crept
And bits not swept
He nibbled and sniffed,
'A Christmas gift,'
Old Mousie thought
And went and brought
His relations and friends
To share the ends
Of our Christmas feast
